Some months ago I created a Tango Firefox Theme which applied the great icons of the Tango Desktop Project into Mozilla’s Firefox browser.
It made Firefox look a bit less ‘foreign’ on GNOME environments, and apparently many people liked it (162.710 downloads so far) – some even dared to install it on the Windows version and ignored all the glitches it has being made and optimized only for the Linux version.
The theme does not work with the new Firefox 3.0 and I will not update it to make it work with the new version. Here is why:

I’ve got many requests to make the Tango Icons for Thunderbird Theme work with Thunderbird 2.0.
However I did not have much time neither is Thunderbird my primary browser, but the famous Steven Garrity did it, so now the theme works again (the Windows version still has issues though). Get it here.
The guys at Novell updated the Tango Firefox Theme to look even nicer and to work with Firefox 2.0 now! And there are “subskin” variants for Ubuntu’s Tangerine Theme, Novell Linux and Default GNOME.

Steven Garrity and Andreas Nilsson, who also helped Garrett LeSage and me with the Tango Firefox theme, have done a great job with the Tango Icons for Thunderbird.
Even though development has just started, it already looks great on Mozilla’s popular mail application (only tested on Linux yet).

Update for the Tango Icons Firefox Theme: the Bookmarks Toolbar just got a little orange RSS icon:

Again some contributions to several Free Software projects:
This is a Theme for “Mozilla Firefox”:http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/ that uses some icons from the “Tango Desktop Project”:http://tango-project.org instead of the default ones:

Install Tango Icons for Firefox
Unfortunately it only works well on Linux for some reason.
